Our History
After years of searching for a simple, cost effective way to keep truckers within legal loaded weight limits, Sid Campbell developed what would become Right Weigh’s first onboard load gauge. As a trucker and fleet owner in Alaska, Sid first ran his scales with success on his own trucks and trailers. Realizing that many of his peers were also in desperate need of knowing their weight while loading, he researched the market for any similar weigh system. He soon discovered that there simply wasn’t an analog load scale available. Thus, “Right Weigh Inc.” was established.
For nearly a decade Right Weigh has been helping drivers maintain their legal axle weights. With our patented interior and exterior load scale systems that are truly affordable, simple to install and calibrate with no complex sensors or electronics, we have become the most popular choice of onboard scales for fleets and owner operators.
Our Future
Right weigh is expanding everyday. We are continually developing new gauges and accessories as the marketplace dictates what is important to the trucking industry. Many thousands of Right Weigh load scales have been installed as an aftermarket upgrade to existing fleets and our gauges are currently available as an OEM option through many manufacturers.
As we add to our growing list of Right Weigh dealers, OEMs, fleets and owner operators, we promise to continue to provide the highest quality of products, strong customer care and the most competitive pricing in the industry. Our goal is to increase industry awareness of the importance of onboard load scales and to ultimately have Right Weigh load scales become a standard option on all new equipment purchased worldwide.
